The purifying fire

An evil man will follow the Christian Faith
only so long as it seems to profit himself.

But when he suffers loss for it,
he will cast the Christian Faith aside like an old used garment.

A truly good man will follow the Christian Faith
no matter how much he is made to suffer for it.

All who live godly in Christ Jesus will be tried in the fire.
The fire purifies the goodness of the good.
It separates the gold from the dross.
