Take my hand, Oh Lord

This world is a place where the wicked seem to prevail and the righteous are downtrodden.

This world is a place of much suffering and woe.

Iniquity abounds throughout all the lands.

Deceitfulness and guile fill the hearts of men.

How can a man live a holy and righteous life in this world of miry clay?

Reach down Oh Lord and take my hand and lift me up so I can stand.

We can walk on the face of the miry clay like Peter walked upon the face of the waters when he took the hand of the Lord.
