Seek to please God.
Reference: Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Desire to hear God say "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Reference: Matthew 25:23 "His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.'

Let your life abound with good works done, while trusting in God.
Reference: 1 Peter 2:12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of [a]visitation.

Ask God, what good thing can I do today, that would benefit another person?
Reference: Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

Spend your life doing for others, instead of doing to others.
Reference: Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.

Pray for other people, never pray against them.
Reference: Matthew 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

Remember you will be rewarded by how much you have uplifted other people's lives, not by how much you have advanced you own!
