Lord, purge us from worldly cares and set our hearts free.

Let not the cares of this world choke out our spiritual growth, but let us abound in all spiritual fruit.
Reference: Matthew 13:22 "And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Jesus came into the world to give us life and that filled with all abundance.
Reference: Isaiah 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.

He came to fill the empty pots of our lives to overflowing with the Living Water of the Holy Spirit.

The fruits of the Spirit are Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, kindness, meekness, faith and temperance.

When we abound in these things we are well pleasing to God.
